MONTREAL IN THREE DAYS

My first weekend studying on exchange in Canada I headed to Montreal for a music festival and a quick three day (food) tour of the city.

Eat:

Restaurant L'Avenue - The most amazing brunch. The 30 minute wait in the cold definitely payed off! It's located in Plateau Mont-Royal, so you can head to Mount Royal park afterwards to walk off your inevitable food baby. The view from the belvedere is beautiful if you have good weather.

Olive & Gourmando - For breakfast, lunch and baked goods. This place in Old Montreal is amazing! Prepare for a wait if you go around peak times, but its definitely worth it!

Le Cartet - It's worth waiting 5 days of the week for their brunch menu, which is only out on weekends. The servings were huge and delicious.

Les Glaceurs - If you need a quick cupcake stop en route to the Notre Dame, the salted caramel flavour is to die for.

Crêperie Chez Suzett - For a dinner of fondu and crêpes!

Atwater Markets - So much fresh produce and amazing cheeses. There is a bakery at the end of the inside section that is amazing and so worth the line up! Get a picnic lunch and then head up to Mount Royal for lunch with a view.
